Looking back to the first 2 year journey of Corona Resort & Casino!

January 19, 2019 is an important landmark in Phu Quoc, when Corona resort & Casino Complex, the first casino allowed Vietnamese in Vietnam, officially opened. After 2 years of operation, Corona is still growing, becoming a familiar destination for the tourists visiting Pearl Island.

Corona Resort & Casino has been a pioneer in developing an upper-class resort and entertainment complex, highlighted by Corona Casino – known as the “Las Vegas of Vietnam”. Thanks to that, domestic tourists do not need to go to casinos in Macau or Singapore as before.

In the first year of operation, Corona Casino made the North of Phu Quoc Island become a new attractive tourism destination, comparable to the South of the Island or Duong Dong town. With more than 100 tables and 1,000 game machines placed in 2 huge floors having a total area of up to 18,000m2, Corona Casino generates endless fun throughout 24 hours, facilitating visitors to experience and entertain regardless of day or night.

The second year was a challenging year of ups and downs for the entire tourism industry in Vietnam and worldwide in general when the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic led to the bankrupt or suspension of a series of hotels and resorts. Sharing the same situation, Corona resort & Casino had to close and suspend its operations for 38 days. In addition, annual shows and tournaments were canceled to ensure safety.

After the social distancing period, Corona Resort & Casino made a grand comeback with extremely fascinating events, tournaments and programs such as: The series of monumental events named “The Mega Series”, “Christmas at sea at Corona theater” live show, Corona Countdown party…, which all ended successfully and received positive feedback from customers.

Entering the 3rd year, Corona Casino team will continue to make further efforts to respond to the love of customers, and at the same time affirm the position as the No. 1 resort and entertainment complex in the North of the island.
